Job Resume

Zhang Wenpeng was born in Liquan, Shaanxi Province. He received the PhD degree in mathematics in 1988 from Shandong University, P. R. China. He had been with the Department of Mathematics at Northwest University since 1988, where he was promoted to full professor in 1991. He was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Mathematics, the University of Georgia, U.S.A., from 1995 to 1996. Now he serves as an authorized PhD supervisor in mathematics, with the Faculty of Science at Xi`an Jiaotong University.

Academy and Scientific Findings

He has published more than 100 academic papers on Number Theory, most of which are in international journals. Some of papers published by professor Zhang since 1998 to 2003 are as following: 1. On a problem of P.Gallagher, 2. Some Identities Involving the Euler's and the Central Factorial Numbers, 3. On the mean value of the Dedekind sums with the weight of Hurwitz zeta-function, 4. On the 2k-th power mean of Dirichlet L-functions with the weight of general Kloostermann sums, 5. On the 2m-th power mean of certain Hardy sums, 6. A hybrid mean value formula of Dedekind sums and Hurwitz zeta-functions, 7. On the Distribution of Primitive Roots Modulo a prime, 8. On the primitive Number of Power P and its asymptotic property, 9. An exact calculating formula for the 2k-th power mean of L-functions, and 10. A problem of D. H. Lehmer and its mean square value formula.
